We had family and friends over for a fun, full day of counting our blessings.

It's been awhile since I posted, so there's a bit to catch up on! The book signing at the Ada Public Library did not go as well as I would have liked...but it was fun, anyways. I got to talk to some people, and I saw some dear friends whom I have not seen in about four years! (They bought a book...yea!)

I have a new "day job" as the media coordinator for the town I live in. My job mostly consists of filming events around town and editing them on a GIANT MacPro (first time using a Mac...and I love it!) I am also planning on going back to college this month--this time to finsish my BA! (Ooh boy! Busy times ahead!)

I am working on a new book. Another collection of short stories; this time, romance! Many of the stories are period pieces and all are about young, true love. I am shopping for a publisher, but will probably just go with PublishAmerica again (they have been really good to me!). If I can remember, I will try to post a sample story on here.

Anyways...Best of Wishes for the Holiday Season!

-StephenStephenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09326688054232193718noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28673760.post-37421142442017650512008-07-23T18:39:00.006-05:002008-07-23T18:58:16.972-05:00Summer Play!Oklahoma has seen a lot of fine plays this summer in many of the large and small towns. I have been very pleased to find myself involved in that movement right here in Seminole directing the family-themed comedy-drama "Cheaper by the Dozen." Based on the bestselling book by Frank Gilbreth, Jr. and Earnestine Gilbreth Carey, this dramatic adaption is faithful to the much-loved story. My cast (which features more children than adults!) has worked very hard, and I am very proud of them!

The performances are almost here...the first weekend in August, to be exact. It will be held at the Heartland Family Church on 214 W. Strothers Ave., Seminole, Ok. The times for the performances will be at 7:30 P.M. on Friday and Saturday (Aug 1+2) and 2:30 P.M. on Sunday (Aug 3). Please check out the Events section on the sidebar for more info!

I hope to see you there!

-StephenStephenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09326688054232193718noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28673760.post-74980897333453615432008-06-17T13:10:00.002-05:002008-06-17T13:20:15.682-05:00Book Signings!Summer is here--and 'tis the season for reading! I have seen a lot of people's WordPress sites, and really liked them. Also, I was wanting a site on which I could post random thoughts about my day, world news, or a spiritual truth I've learned. I will still continue to maintain this blog as my professional site, as always.

The new site is called "The Stevie Files," and can be accessed at www.thesteviefiles.com. If you check it out, please leave me a comment to let me know what you think!

Blessings,

StephenStephenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09326688054232193718noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28673760.post-62921223988964493442008-01-16T16:50:00.000-06:002008-01-16T17:06:49.266-06:00Interview in Boy Choir MagazineHey, everybody!

Some of you may know that I am an avid fan of boychoir music. About a year and a half ago, I discovered an awesome online magazine devoted to the subject. The magazine is called Boy Choir Magazine (what else?), and I was lucky enough to find it shortly after the inaugral issue came out.

Because the magazine looked so much like the one I was running at the time (on an entirely different subject), I emailed the editor. Since then, Dennis Chamberland and I have become very good email friends. He's an admirable Christian man of many talents. He's also very funny!

I was quite surprised when he emailed me a few months ago and told me about a new section in BCM. The section is going to be devoted to reader interviews, and he asked if I'd be the first to be interviewed. It was a great honor to be featured in my favorite magazine alongside some very talented people in the boy choir field. Please, click on the link above if you would like to check out the interview.

Thanks, again, Dennis--it was so much fun!

Blessings,

StephenStephenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09326688054232193718noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28673760.post-75815235510805944052008-01-13T00:01:00.000-06:002008-01-13T00:10:50.989-06:00UpdateHappy 2008!

It's been awhile since I've updated this, so I've been doing a little work on it.

As you can now see in my bio, I am no longer job hunting, but have settled into a full-time job as a teachers' assistant at Wilson Elementary in Seminole, OK. I am also still keeping up on the free-lance writing, and am actually in the middle of contract talks with a publishing house in Maryland. The publishing house is PublishAmerica, and they have offered to publish a collection of short, mystery stories. When things become definite, I will try to place a sample story on this site. And, of course, I will announce the release of the book on here--trusting everything works out all right.

Blessings,

StephenStephenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09326688054232193718noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28673760.post-1151610543742794512006-06-29T14:46:00.000-05:002006-06-29T14:49:03.743-05:00Welcome!Hello and welcome to the official website for Stephen Z.
